Kyoto: Arashiyama (Bamboo Forest,Saga Toriimoto Preservation District )
Saga-Arashiyama is located in the western part of Kyoto City. It is one of Kyoto’s premier scenic spots where you can enjoy seasonal scenery like Cherry blossoms in spring, greenery in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and snow in winter. In addition to the “Togetsukyo Bridge” and “Bamboo Grove Path,” which can be said to be the symbols of Arashiyama, there are various temples, shrines, parks, etc. It is very popular as a tourist spot, so we recommend shooting early in the morning.
If you go a little north of Arashiyama, you will find the Saga Toriimoto Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, where you will feel as if you have traveled back in time. There are relatively few people, so it is recommended for those who want to take pictures in a relaxed manner.
A little further north is Atago Nenbutsuji Temple, a unique place. You will be welcomed by 1,200 stone Rakan statues dedicated to general worshipers.
